We will be flying On SAA in Business JFK to JNB.

As Star Gold, I understand I am allowed 3 pcs up to 70lbs each.

I want to check One Large Bag at exactly 62"/maybe pushing the limit if they measure from the wheels/to the handles which protrude.
It will be well under 50 lbs.

I'm wondering how strict they will be with the one piece.

I'd hate to be charged some huge fee, or maybe refused acceptance of it,
If they say it is over 62".


Any experience or recommendations for JFK, check in?


I'm starting in Portland, 2 days prior, United says their agents don't have time to pull out the measuring tape to check each piece, only if it looks extra large.
I've flow with it before on United, so don't have concerns, but I'm wondering about SAA.
