I got a email from MAS a couple of weeks ago with this info and it did appear to be quite contradictory.

MAS informed me of the new KLIA rule but stated Business/First could have two pieces of luggage. So will be interesting to see what happens. My partner will by flying into KL on Monday so I will ask how things are.
