To begin with I'm not quite sure where the correct spot for this thread is but here goes:

I am Gold on DL, Gold on AA, and Silver on CO, and call NYC home. However I've quit my job (where I was primarily flying domestically) to attend INSEAD for my MBA this means that from Jan-Dec of 2011 i will be living in either Singapore or near paris (with trips back to the states for the holidays).

That being said, my question is: would any of you recommend altering the programs that i accumulate miles on?

In the past I had used these three, as they pretty much covered all the bases, and I was most interested in free domestic upgrades. However now that my travel will be much more international in nature (being elite on an american airline for international flights seems to not get you very far other than ease of check in) i'm wondering if its worth accumulating miles on say singapore airlines etc. would i get international upgrades? any other thoughts? appreciate the input.
