Hello all - first post, usually a BA traveller but EK skywards too as regulary EK traveller to MNL which BA dropped years ago!

Anyway - I left DXB for LGW on EK yesterday, my colleagues an hour later to NCE on the same. A Y passenger (French national) sat himself in J on their flight. The aircraft had already pushed off when it was noticed, and after a debate and him refusing point blank to budge while taxiing they returned to the gate where he was taken off by police. Anyone seen this happen before? The bloke was apparently sober but I wonder what sort of reception he will get by UAE police/security?
