There are other reasons.
Being in Manhattan I purposely switched from GSM (T-Mo) to Verizon for better service. AT&T would be an option if the network could handle the traffic, but it can't, particularly in Midtown during the workday ;-).
I worry though, whether the iPhone on Verizon will crush the network like it did AT&Ts...
