Austrian Airlines asks me and my partner to pay 520 Euro extra if we want to take 2x23 kg each (instead of 1x20 kg) on a one way hop from Vienna to Frankfurt. They don't offer any prepaid packages or anything like that at a discount, even if you book months ahaed.
Positive example: With the very same luggage the extra cost on Condor from Frankfurt to Halifax is 60 Euro.
But the most outragoes fees are actually the multiple levies you have to pay with many airlines if you book a one way ticket instead of a return. That way, everyone in his right mind books return tickets, even if they go one way only.
Positive examples in the German langauge area are Condor, Air Berlin, Niki, Easyjet and some others, where you can get one way tickets for the normal price.
