As I understand BA and AA are intending to consolidate their operations at the American Airlines Terminal within the next couple of years (not certain if there is a date for that?) this will help ease congestion for pre-flight dining and ensure a range of "next flights" are available at whatever time of day.

Is the business traveller source on this firm, or merely speculative conjecture? If the latter, worth mentioning before those already booked get worried about re-timed connections.

Given the higher yield flights are the early morning and afternoon and later flights, it seems odd to have an equal distribution at lower yield points in the day - eg in Jan-11 the BA177 is still a 772, for example. While I suspect we'll see better distribution, I'd suggest the greatest frequencies will still be morning and afternoon+later - when the high yield J+F traffic flies.

Ex JFK, I disagree with you: JFK/LHR airport open/close times and demand patterns will mean little change, I suspect. (8am-10am morning departures), then only 630pm and after (pre 6am landings at LHR restricted and BA already uses its full quota).

Potential BA move to the AAwful terminal not slated until 2015, as they need to build more terminal and a BA terminal within a terminal first (ie with a proper F check in, concorde room, proper fast track, and separated preflight dining for BA metal flying pax). The issue sof where CX and QF go also needs resolving. So more like 5, not 2 years away.
