I am trying to find out if there are any luxury hotels at Atlanta airport, i think my best bet might be to travel downtown to the Ritz Carlton but i literally only need a 12 hour stay before heading to Fort Lauderdale the following morning however i do not want to stay in some grotty motel for the first night of my christmas holiday as that will just put me in a bad mood!! Well downtown RC is teh closest luxury hotel to the airport. However depending on the mode of transportation that distance can take quite a long time during rush hour. The Buckhead area has some great hotels and while 20 miles away you can either be their quickly or not so quickly.
Most of the area near the airport is very shady overall so dont plan to walk around if you stay there.
