bedelman,
When you say AA won't match your corp discount, do you mean that you:
1. Called, and they told you no; and/or;
2. You went to an AA ticket counter, and tried to use either a paper ticket issued on another carrier with your corporate discount, or tried to have AA pull an e-ticket issued with your corp discount on a carrier that AA has interline e-ticketing for?
If you have only tried option 1, I would strongly encourage trying optionn 2. Historically on the northeast shuttles airlines often take either others tickets but its not advertised, and res agents or corporate sales people might not know about it, etc. Let us know of any findings. FYI I also priced BOS to DCA on AA and it comes up for $168 each way with an L fare, I believe the one mentioned above in this thread.</font>
I tried #2 with a paper student discount ticket ~12 months ago. I might just have gotten a bad check-in agent, who didn't know the rules or didn't care to do the work. Haven't given it a try more often b/c US Air Shuttle is generally reliable, AA product is often full (meaning they wouldn't have a seat for me even if they were willing to accept my existing ticket), and of course I much prefer the US product in any case.
Have also tried #1.
