Well there is:
- The management time to decide that's what they want to do
- The approval process to raise an IT request and funding
- Analysis of the code to find the part of the program "smoke" resides in, not to mention where the xx has been coded.
- Testing
- Change request for puting it live
- Finally support staff on overnight when it goes live (just to make sure it does)
- Final sign-off that it's worked, not to mention budget reconciliation etc for the money spent.
If you get change out of £3-4000 you'll be doing well. And if you think I'm joking, sadly I'm not
those little xx probably don't you enough ink for the payback to be within a reasonable time frame
