Yes I had looked at prices on Hotwire and the Sheraton could be had for about $180 all in per night....still too dear for me especially without breakfast. We got three nights at the Park Inn for 140 Euros....a great deal especially as we were out most of the day.
Due to the wife's shopping habits we ended up with a hell of a lot of baggage hence the reason I didn't want to get a hotel in the centre of Frankfurt. It was far easier to stay at the Park Inn. We had a early start on the day of departure as well.
We got the Movenpick last year on Priceline for $65 but never stayed due to a flight cancellation.
