Just a note on a Seattle coincidence....
I missed the 5:30pm flight by about ten minutes on Wednesday (Oct 8th) and had to wait until the 11:40pm flight to board. By the time that I saw the elevator to the AC there was only an hour or so to go and I figured that whatever the charge, it was probably too steep for a one hour visit.
I remember hearing them announce that the SEA-ORD flight was completely full. It must have been an ordeal for those cramped in the middle seats. Only thing worse could be being cramped on UA, DL, CO, or any of those carriers with 4 inches less of legroom.
