I am studying abroad in New Zealand next semester. So, I am looking for a flight in mid-February from Washington, DC to New Zealand. Don't really care where I have to stop.

On the way back, I want to go from Auckland to Amman, Jordan in late June. So my trip in total will be DC > Auckland. Auckland > Amman. My last leg from Amman to DC I will be coordinating with other family members so I don't need that figured out right now.

I'm wondering what travel sites I should use to look this up? I've been told Quantas and Air New Zealand are very nice airlines to fly. I was also wondering if maybe its worth getting a travel agent.

Also, as a student, I was wondering if there were any discounts available somehow for flying.
