There were a couple of places in IST when I had to hand over my tripod to security for 'safe-keeping'. Did not even bother trying to go to the Blue Mosque since I ran out of time anyway.

I had made friends with the guards and chatted with them for a long time first. I wasn't under the impression that I was being given an exception, but perhaps I was?
