I searched (i.e. IFE, inflight entertainment, in-flight entertainment, etc.) that thread and there was only one IFE post and it was a comment of "I know of no other airline that gives compensation as loosely and generously as UA. Tell UA your flight's inflight entertainment didn't work = $250. JetBlue inop TV = $15 voucher" that someone posted. In other words, there have been no post in that 2010 compensation thread for a non-working IFE.

On one hand, I agree with you that there should be a separate thread for each compensation opportunity. On the other hand, when there are no posts for a specific compensation opportunity, I think that it should be separate thread then move to the general thread in 30 days. I think that most readers will read the an individual thread than the consolidated thread.
