IMO, as the whole plane was affected, everyone deserved some compensation, and C and F additional compensation based on their circumstances. Status (like your apparrent *G) should play a role as well.
FWIW, I got 300 UAbucks for the F lav on a domestic flight being 'noisy' less than a year ago. It still worked but the vacuum valve was stuck so it was noisy. The pilot did his thing and we were directed to go to the web site for 'appreciation'. That's nothing compared to your inconvenience, not to mention for the whole plane.
