I have a real simple 1/2 day trip that will get me the 4 points to attain Platinum with very little effort. Because of carrier & routing constraints on me for remainder of the year, there is no economical way for me to use the HSJ promotion to get CP. I will finish year with a paltry 44,000 miles, having earlier nailed down Gold with the Double Miles promotion. I am quite happy with making Platinum thru Feb 2012. At this point, especially after the US/CO merger, I have no idea what my US travels in 2011 might be.
