I am also pondering the same question about doing a mileage run to hit CP (although since I already booked guess its no longer pondering).

I should make Platinum at the end of next week after my C Class return from India on Continental. And then have a trip to London as well as a few r/t to PIT to see family. I then booked a trip to Vegas from PIT instead of PHL in order to take advantage on the double miles, which in theory will get me to about 101,000 for the year assuming I do get the Double PQM for the entire PIT - LAS trip and not only the PIT-CLT portion since it connects in CLT.

A question regarding the CP Envoy upgrade certs. How difficult are they to use? I was hoping to use one for a trip to Barcelona next Summer, but I notice that there are no Saver Envoy awards available around my dates to BCN (and not to any other Euro city that I could find in early July). Is there an easy way other than calling to know if the certs will work?
