The ridiculous part is that AS was so reluctant to jump on the Hawaii game a few years ago because there was not enough business travelers or something silly like that to justify ETOPS now there is no market untouched by AS with direct service most likely coming to airports like EAT, CLM and DUT.
What is so great is service in Y has been so inexpensive yet the route has been a dumping ground for using premium mileage (and getting them off AS’ books) and people paying regular price for F. I think it is about time to revisit MSY and other cities that SEA flyers can only get to using AA connections.
