I think someone's confusing the reduced benefit of MO (which used to be a free night, and was changed last year to be only a $200 spa/food credit on a minimum 2 night stay, and zero benefit for a one-night stay).

I also received that "hard cardboard invitation" from Cent telling of the "new enhancements to the program" which was a re-packaged notice about the new travel "benefits" to draw attention to the loss of CO lounges, status, and MR transfers.
The mention of the new improvements to Cent hotels was to inform about St. Regis and stealthly about the lowered MO benefit (which was never officially trumpeted in 2010).
