I would say it is worth it to go for CP. The additional upgrades (I'm at 100% this year even with companions), award change / re-deposit fee waiver, and international upgrades were all the incentive I needed to "buy up" last January for $800 after foolishly messing around with Delta for a year and a half. This year I'll easily re-qualify.
