I've been fortunate enough to visit the lounge in OSL on average 2-3 times every week and I've sometimes noticed the difference; when wearing glasses, a nice suit and a formal hairstyle, I'm always greeted by the dragons with a smile and a "Velkommen". However, wearing shorts (like I did a couple of times this summer while traveling for business), pique shirt, no glasses and messy hairstyle -- I could tell their attitude was a bit different.
But I think this goes for every job where you have to treat people; I think we're much more inclined to treat people in a certain way when they look "important", just ask Malcom Gladwell. I guess the dragons are hard-wired humans, after all.
For the record, I'm 24 and I'm not Scandinavian. Not your typical 1D on a C ticket frequent flyer.
