I've stayed in the Le Meridien Munich for a few months this year and I have concur that you should really go for the rooms with courtyard view if possible. Next best alternative are the rooms with the view going out to the side streets on the left and right.
Don't go for the rooms with the front view to main station if you really need a quiet room for sleeping. Although the hotel has done good work in terms of noise isolation, you can always hear the cars on the (quite) busy street in front of the hotel if you have a room that goes out to the front.
