Does this flight hug the coast up to OAK? If so, perhaps that's what was paid for... And why it was only $5 vs more on a longer flight...

I don't think so. Within 10 minutes of sign up I lost signal. San Diego to OGG.

Did a check of flightaware and yeah, looks like it goes away from the coast fairly fast... I'd say contact gogo and see what they have to say.

A quick note to AS would be good to reinform the F/A's...

And the gogo login page could use a refresh probably as well.
