Exactly my point. I hadn't intended to try it out because of the info on Alaska's website but the FA actually advised passengers of internet availability on this flight so I thought that the website might be a little behind in terms of info. That's why I was surprised when I lost the signal so darn quickly. The error message I received is that the signal is only available 100 miles out from the coast. Good thing I didn't sign up for the other plans. Just the one time fee for this specific flight
