Travelling UA 870 in F in Nov SYD-SFO-JFK. We change planes in SFO to a domestic p.s. 757 so need to clear customs and collect bags etc in SFO before re-checking bags for the SFO-JFK leg. We have 2hr 15min layover.
UA says p.s. F pax can use the Intl. lounge or the domestic RCC. My question is will the Intl. lounge be too far away from where we need to be for the domestic gate or would we be better off just using the Domestic RCC?
No, the international FCL is an average of maybe 10 minutes at the most from most domestic gates. But don't forget to use the Arrivals lounge, for showers and breakfast after exiting customs. Head toward the domestic terminal, but BEFORE security watch for the signs. Then you can go to the IFL to wait for your flight.
