I do personally believe there will be an adjustment in due course.

And I agree that BA reserves the right to change the programme at its whim.

However, it just doesn't make good PR sense to announce the "good" news separately from the "bad".

And to enact such a change overnight would negate any goodwill towards BAEC engendered by the AA/IB co-operation.

So to suggest that there is going to be a re-calibration of burn rates overnight based on a conversation with a telephone agent seems rather spurious to me.
