North End

• Mare – Modern Italian in a bright mod space; as name implies, its focus is seafood
• Terramia – More traditional Italian (but not cliché) deep in the North End; favors seafood

South End

• Toro – Tapas, but not the ordinary, predictable kind
• The Butcher Shop – Barbara Lynch spot; wine bar, small plates, very cool
• B&G Oysters – Another Barbara Lynch hot spot
• South End Buttery – Casual café by day/restaurant and bar by night; great neighborhood spot
• Oishii – Modern Japanese

Theatre

• Market by Jean Georges at the W – Great scene, food, and decor

Cambridge

• Craigie on Main – One of the best culinary experiences in town. Also has a bar menu.

Charlestown

• Tangierino – Moroccan with traditional and modern dishes
