From PNR, is it possible to print your itinerary with the ticket number(s)?

As you know, many times visa free entry into many countries, and hence the ability to board the flight in the first place, requires proof of onward journey. I have never had any problem just showing my itinerary, but recently a friend was given some hassle because the itinerary didn't show ticket numbers.
