I believe you can "sell" the certificate back to Marriott Rewards, but you won't get as many points as you would have to redeem to get the 7 nights standing alone (outside the travel package).

In the past, Marriott would allow you an extra year to redeem the nights if you requested them to do so. That might be the best use of the certificate.
