A GA this week went nutty about a 3 hour delay (with one failed execution). Short of firing the CEO he even went so far as to start giving everyone credit for this debacle.
Although at one point when he started this he came out and addressed everyone sans PA explaining that he had to go down the list from DM, PM, DM first because management tells them that 5% of their customers generate 26% of their income. That felt a bit uncomfortable but whatever.
When he couldn't get to everyone in time he gave everyone cards and told them the notes about how much he gave those he could would be in their accounts and to call in the claim it. This was my original connection and I just happened by it displaying a "boarding sign" while looking for the other three flights I was confirmed/backed up on.
Having came from a SDF to DTW flight with two broken planes and a 3 hour possible 4 hour delay and being backed up on three flights this DTW GA's reaction to two flight crew members being timed-out seemed a bit odd to me.
But at least the DTW GAs are passionate.
