First time ever with KLM, was paged in the lounge and told to meet at reception (this is just 5 mins ago). A KLM-rep told me as of a campaign they had I was now upgraded to business. Nice treat flying across the atlantic.

I've only had one free upgrade before and that was a poor Europe Select upgrade.

I've been plat for a few years but I'm not going to meet the treshold of 70k miles this year with FB, I'm flying more *A since I also got a gold for life there and the service is many times better than what skyteam is offering. Could this extra points and free upgrades be a part of getting their best customers back?

Only thing that would get me back is reverting the changes in the FB program.
