There's both a Residence Inn and a Renaissance Hotel at Seaworld - the Ren is just across the car park! I've stayed in both.

But I guess the Res Inn would be best with kids - the advantage of having a self catering unit is a real bonus if you have kids with you. It's a very good property indeed - well run, well maintained.

If you want to do Universal, my tip would be to pay up and stay in one of their on site hotels for a night. Trust me, the only way you're going to get near the Harry Potter part is by taking advantage of the early admission available to hotel guests.
