Looking for a good, low(ish) end smart phone....

I'm in Fiji and, it transpires, neither local operator yet has data roaming with Orange UK. So, my iPhone is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Now, since I'm going to be here for a couple of weeks, and since it helps enormously if I can have a normal life at night and still be able to reply to emails (Exchange based) from the UK, I'm thinking of getting a phone.

One problem..... Tax, duties and import costs all mount up so Fiji is not a place for bargain basement electronics. As such, I'm looking for something that is:

- Not necessarily cutting edge (HTC Legend or Wildfire perhaps?)
- Wouldn't be too expensive back home (and therefore not a total rip off here)
- Supports Exchange and Exchange push out of the box (no farting around with firmware upgrades).

Any suggestions? If it was Hong Kong, I'd just say "to hell with it" and go and blow some cash on a HTC Desire or Samgung Galaxy (or Nokia N8 if they could ever be bothered making it "available").
