He plead guilty and was later sentenced on 10/01/2009 but yet is still in Miami-- not sure why. I think he'll be there for a while. The mail will find him; you can always look and see if he has been moved.
The news article the OP linked to suggests that the sentencing was recent, not a year ago.
Would you check the that date you provided?

Now why wait a year to announce the sentences and why keep a person in a FDC for such a long time unless it is for the safety of the inmate?
