Finally made it to the ICON on Roosevelt yesterday. Love the place. Still free parking (but it appears to be the only business open) and the signage for parking is well marked. I think they have 15 or 16 theaters open now. The afternoon matinee is still $10.00. To get the $7.50 (I think) price, you need to get there before noon.
One think we noticed yesterday (coincidentally, given
today's news) is the Vdara death ray effect in the plaza in front of the theater entrance mid-afternoon - we couldn't figure out why it was so HOT right there. Then we looked up and saw how the sun reflected off the windows above. When we emerged, same thing, several feet over.
Oh, forgot to mention that it sure beat AMC River East and/or 600 N. where it is $16.00 or more to park.
