The food has been upgraded and is almost the same as F. The seats vary by plane, and seem to be 2 kinds (you can tell by the audio controller). The better one is more comfortable and has a bit more recline (an inch or two) but does not come close to flat (guess is 160 degrees). The worse one is similar to the 3 class J seat. Neither has IFE but DVD players are provided which works well. The planes rotate between routes. It is an improved J service but if you were as unhappy with the prior service as you sound this won't be a meaningful improvement.
