You're a good customer and you've earned something that the airline says they want to give you. When Y class takes it away, it's not fair to you.

This is my first year in E.

Normally when flying, what I do if I don't have priority boarding status is I sit on my butt until the plane is full. I am not going to flight the crowd and standing around for a half hour doesn't make sense to me. I just wait. Board when called or board at the end.

I don't cut into people who have bought those expensive tickets or flown a billion miles to get a small number of upgrades they can actually use.

When I am in the other position, I would like to not have the mob deny me what I have bought or earned.
