Thanks for all of the posts, many of which were quite helpful.

I have already earned the CCR card and was really just wondering whether anybody knew what factors influenced Premier status but it seems clear from this that nobody is very sure.

Right now I'm very happy with the service BA are providing me with and for the foreseeable future, I intend to stay with them, Premier or not.
