I believ e I have on occasion held two reservation on the same flight for a short time, mostly while changing my plans. So the system does seem to allow it.
The system is not sophisticated enough to prevent the booking of two reservations for the same person on the same flight. However it is set up to find the multiple reservations after they have been made (this isnt necessarily an immediate process). When the system finds duplicate reservations, it will cancel all the reservations.
