Or if you do feel the need to use the quote button, just quote the relevant bit, whilst of course being careful not to take something out of context.

It particularly annoys me when people quote pictures. I've seen posts in the trip report forum where someone has quoted a long report complete with pictures just to add 'Great report ^" at the end!

Why not consider hitting 'report bad post' and asking a mod to edit the worst offenders posts?
