Calm down, Sluggo.

I'm not advocating bonus miles for the elites affected by this diversion, but I get bonus miles all the time for delays, especially mechanicals. Last year some flat tires (not noticed until boarding was complete) netted me 9,000 miles. Many people on board missed their connections (including me) as we were delayed nearly 3 hours while the tires were changed (and the crew told us that if we disembarked, there would be no re-entry to the aircraft).

Anyway, the previous post asked about compensation and I mentioned that maybe elites would get some miles. That's all.
