Last year I noticed it, and again this time when booking my hotel nights in Australia: there seems to be no logic with the prices, especially in Sydney and Melbourne. On a given day the IC will be the most expensive hotel -as it should-, but on the previous or next day nothing will stay the same, and any HI or CP will have this dubious honour.

For example, the lowest rate of the HI Darling Harbour is:
- $324 on Friday (22 Oct)
- $178 the previous day (21 Oct)
- $216 the previous Friday (15 Oct)
- $295 the next Friday (29 Oct)

And by the way, is there anything special taking place during the weekend of 23-24 October? I can't find anything below $300 on Friday night, with even higher rates on Saturday!
