I once saved an hour as a silver when I checked in for a CZ flight at CAN because I was able to use the first class line. This was initial check in to get a boarding pass, not the "get on the plane at the gate", which was the normal chaos.

I was glad not wait in line behind 50 or more people each checking multiple boxes and bags as they go home for Chinese New Year.
