OK. I am now confused. What aircraft are you flying, because your post above suggests that you are flying on an Airbus:

"The online seatmap/ seat picker is still not working but I called PLT desk and she changed me back to 3B which is where I started and admitted that the flight is indeed an A300."

but now you seem to suggest that it is indeed an MD-11!!

I am interested because I have had the same problem on a flight from Mia to JFK over Thanksgiving and I have had my coach seats secured as if it is truly an MD-11 -- closest seat map I could find was on Swiss.

In fact, I was alerted to this fact when I was originally assigned a seat in Coach in the Row 11 E -- and there are no E seats on an Airbus in Coach. I was told that it was an MD - 11 so I booked accordingly.

So, which is it?????? An MD-11 or a regular old Airbus????

Thank you!

The AA metal MD-11's are all gone. I think that last flight was a DFW-SCL run in 2001. Maybe the seat map will show AA's old 747's next. I can't wait to book the upper deck.
