Basic questions will be asked such as the purpose of her visit, how long she intends to stay and they may ask for proof of return ticket and means of support while she's in the UK. There is no routine fingerprint check

What happens in this situation?
If the immigration officer can't establish effective communication with her they will seek out a colleague who can speak Spanish or, failing that, get an interpreter to assist via the telephone. She won't be expected to wait until an interpreter physically attends in the majority of cases and she will not be charged anything if an interpreter is required

Any other hints/tips?
You're pretty much on the right track. If she doesn't have evidence of funds to support her, a letter from you (include your mobile number so they can call you if need be) explaining how you know her and that you will be supporting her visit would help. As has been mentioned above, if she is more than just a friend it is better to be up front about it from the start. If it is presented as a friendship and UKBA subsequently discover you are in a relationship things can go downhill very quickly and may result in your friend being refused entry to the UK

Not an option I'm afraid
