Agreed. I am always a little concerned when a very young child or baby is next to me, or more importantly, directly behind me. But a tantrum is no way to handle it. I usually wait to see how things go first, and most of the time there is no problem. I can totally muffle the cries with my in-ear headphones, but the seat-kicking, arm grabbing, running up and down the aisle, etc. don't cut it. I've noticed lately that most folks traveling with kids in F or BE have pretty well-behaved kids and/or really do try to keep them quiet and under control. So thanks to all of those for the extra hours of sleep.
