I had delays into NRT a number of times. The best route would be to take the 8:20PM Nozomi from JR Tokyo stn to JR Shin-Osaka stn. I would get to my end station in metro Osaka around 11:30PM. Buy a nice eki ben at the Tokyo stn for dinner on the train.
