Did you consider QF? Even though mileage accrual will change after 1/04 (i.e., it will be 25% miles flown in disc. Y), until the end of the year you should be able to earn 1-to-1 even on discounted BA. Don't know if that'll give you enough QF points for a ticket on AA.
