ANA tool is for booking Star Alliance flights using ANA miles. It includes flights on all *A partners, although some partners (A3?) may not be included. It is a good indicator of possible availability using UA miles.

Codeshares are irrelevant for redemption. @:-) Please ignore them.
You can use UA miles to book LH491, but not UA8718. Even thought they are physically the same flights, the computer treats codeshares as two different flights.
